Happy Xmas, Everyone!

Did you remember to board up your fireplace tonight so that Santa Clause couldn't get in to axe you? I know I did. The first and only piece of hardware I've asked for at work was a bluetooth dongle. I figured that, since my computer and my cell phone both have Bluetooth, it would ensure that any bluetooth devices I pick up in the future be completely cross-compatible. Well, it took me 3 months to get a set of bluetooth headphones, and they were a gift from tpau. I miss tpau. Silly, I know, to miss someone who's been out of my sight for less than two days, but she'll be gone for an entire week and when she left, I was a little high off of the adrenaline of waking up at 7:30 for a 9:00 flight. While trying to get my phone to send music to the bluetooth headphones, I had tried manually forcing the audio output to the headphone jack, and accidentally left it on. We never heard the alarm go off because there was no speaker attached to the audio output. As with my computer speakers, I find the minimum volume on the headphones far too high. Doesn't anyone listen to music quietly in the background anymore?

Christmas was interesting. As always, I was fighting with my sister. Her humour just rubs me the wrong way and I haven't found a way of telling her without her blowing up at me. To top it all off, I've been declining from "healthy" to "pretty damn sick" all day. I'm not really sure we've been in a compatible mood all year. Let's hope we find ourselves in a better place next year Among the cool swag I got were a lovely blue cotton bathrobe, a 2-person tea set with loose tea (from my sister), and a Jayne hat from tpau. doc_smiley and I are hanging out in my living room. Wow, that paragraph was all over the place. Here's to Xmas.

PS - lj's new web entry form sucks. It's nice to be able to do fonty things in rich text, but it's annoying to have to forego html tags to do so.
