Dear Professor Martin:

I just wanted to thank you again for getting me to take your class. It was very interesting material, and I wish I understood more of it. I also wish my MQP and IQP hadn't insisted on ending late, as I would have had more time to devote to your class.

I was very frustrated with the final, feeling that if I had another week to learn the material, I could have done better. It's the same source of
frustration, actually, as why I'm unsure I'll ever return to Academia. I'm quite dissatisfied with the way higher level science, math especially, is
presented. I feel as though either the author doesn't know what they're talking about, or doesn't want me to know.

Working on my own MQP, I was quite surprised when I had to finally admit to myself that yes, I did know what I was talking about, but no, I didn't
understand how to talk about it. It has been frustrating knowing that if I had had the proper background, I could have better known what we were
dealing with, but I just couldn't familiarize myself with the material fast enough.

Thank you again for challenging me,
