Henry V - Home Stretch
We have moved passed the last "rehearsal" into the realm of nothing but "dress rehearsal". I have all my lines memorized (mostly). I have all my costume changes down (mostly). I'm still only playing six parts. I was both amused and horrified by the fact that the director likes my outrageous
French accent and wants me to do it for all my French roles. I was even more amused and horrified that everyone else in the cast chimed in with "can he not do it at all?" In point of fact, the only real reason I'm doing it is that 2 out of 3 of my French Dukes are spitting mad, and it's a great way of channeling that energy. Also, I have half a line of French, and I cringe at the thought of playing a French Duke speaking French with an American accent.
Anyway, if you are planning on attending the Saturday performance and have not sent in a reservation check, please let me know so I can put your name in. We're not going to turn anybody away, but as of Monday there were 84 people registered. Unless we hear otherwise, that means there will be food for 100. And we really do want everyone who comes to eat their fill. Current Mood: artistic
