Taking the summer off.

I randomly stopped in to check up on my Livejournal and noticed that I had topped 80 friend-ofs (not bad for someone who hasn't really posted in 3 months), so I put up and update comment on the memory where I first catalogued it. It's interesting to see how these things evolve. How people add, and sometimes subtract you from their reading material. Like Myke.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I was in Freshman Orientation. And it bit. But this was where I met Melissa and Freshman Dan (ye gods! Remember him!?), and even someone named Matt. Well, Matt was fun to be around, and really really gay, so that was kinda nice. He showed me a nifty website where gay bois all around the world wrote about what was going on in their lives. It's still there, but it's now just another blogsite. Anyway, I was browsing this site (and posting too), and I came across Myke.

Myke was from my hometown, but I had to move to Worcester and he had to move to Singapore before we'd even know about each other. And he was really cool. I used to have the biggest crush on him. He was the only person in the world who seemed to live life in the same roiling sea of emotion that I do- to have such passion exploding in every moment. But with no way to vent it but the Internet. Overtime, he grew apart, as these things happen, but I will never forget him. He's just too damned cool.
