A Stick

So, all too often, my answer to Louis' questions in Music consist of : A stick. Now, of course, usually these are correct answers. Things like 'What is used even today to keep the beat?' or 'What is a bow?'

But, you know, A Stick is actually the answer to a lot of the problems in my life.

I discovered yesterday that a music minor has a 1/3 unit Performance Requirement - i.e. you need to be a member of a performing group for a year, or 2 groups for six months. Why didn't I check this out before?

So there is only one option available - I joined Glee Club. Today. It was the most fun I've had in a long time. We were singing difficult Polyphonic Choral Material from the Renaissance in Latin and German, and I had a blast. Why didn't I join A-Term my Freshman year? I am an idiot.

So the next time I have an idiotic idea like punting a class or not doing something cool, hit me with a stick. Not a big stick, and not very hard, but please, please, hit me with a stick.

I mean really - I've missed out on enough sheep jokes as it is.
